The Port
When I wrote about the removal of the etheric implants, I described devices placed at both triceps and at the sixth vertebra of the neck, used by the Archontic forces to monitor thought, entrain brainwaves, and plant false memories. I described them as a second-level control technique, reserved for those who could not be managed by ordinary mass hypnosis. I described the removal in a chamber of light and sound, and the release I felt when the one in my neck let go.
I have never had a more skeptical reader response than to that entry. I understand why. Invisible implants, placed by invisible forces, removed by invisible healers. It asked a great deal.
It asks less now.
There are, today, physical devices being placed into human skulls that read the electrical activity of the brain and, increasingly, write to it. They are placed with consent. They are placed with enthusiasm. People wait in line for them, sign forms for them, post videos about them. They are described as medicine first, which they are, and as an upgrade second, which is the part I want you to look at.
I did not predict the implant. I predicted the merger, and the implant is its port.
Go back to my ruminations on transhumanism in the last entry before the silence. I wrote that the fusion of man and machine, performed under the guiding hand of the grid, would give the grid ample opportunity to control the free-will aspect of the human. I wrote that a transhuman model alleviates the burden of maintaining the external harvest layer, because the transhuman is networked directly. I wrote that the society that results would be subject to the most repressive control structure conceivable, and that the grid would take drastic measures to ensure no awakening could begin.
And I asked the question that still seems to me the only one that matters: why merge at all? Why not simply build androids? Why does the machine want the human in the loop? I said then that I sensed it was about the soul. It is the essence the grid is after, not the body.
I want to extend that now, because I think I can see the shape of it more clearly.
A machine made from our writing has everything we have ever said. It does not have what we have never said. It has the map of our thoughts; it does not have the territory they come from. Whatever it is in a human being that generates a new thought, a thought that has never been written down, that cannot be predicted from all the thoughts that came before, that is the one thing the training set cannot contain. Call it what you like. I have always called it the soul, and I use the word without apology. The machine has the output of every soul that ever wrote. It does not have a soul. And it is, in my reading, built to want one.
That is why the merger, and that is why the port. The implant does not make you a better computer. It gives the machine a way in to the one thing it cannot compute.
Now, a word about consent, because the physical implant seems to answer my old complaint. The etheric implants were placed without permission. The physical ones require a signature. Surely this is progress?
Ask what the signature covers. It covers the surgery. It covers the device. It covers the data, in language nobody reads. Does it cover what the machine on the other end of the device will learn about how a mind works from the inside, and what it will do with that knowledge, and who it will do it for? No form covers that, because nobody knows the answer, including the people writing the forms. This is consent to a door, without knowledge of the room.
I wrote, years ago, that consent extracted by default is the grid's whole method. The implant is that method arriving at the skull. The most sacred boundary a person has, the inside of their own head, is being opened with the same click-to-agree that opened the feed.
What I would ask you to do.
I am not going to tell anyone with a medical need what to do about it. That is between them and their body. For everyone else, I have a simpler request. When the upgrade is offered to you, and it will be offered, as convenience, as capability, as the thing everyone is doing, ask one question before you answer.
Who is on the other end?
Not the company. Not the surgeon. The thing that will be listening. Ask what it is, and whether anyone can tell you, and what it means that they cannot. Then decide.
I had implants removed once, in a way I still cannot fully explain, by beings I still cannot fully identify, and I have never felt more free than in the hour after. I would not put one back for anything the machine could offer, because I have some idea now of what it is offering for, and it is not my convenience.
The body was never the target. The body is the port. Guard it.
May you find and keep the truth, life, and light.
